We learned the first jig from the playing of Dessie Wilkinson who in turn had the tune from the Antrim hammer dulcimer player John Rea. The melody is one of Piper Jackson’s tunes. Listen closely and one may detect the even rhythm of the hammers falling on the dulcimer strings. The second is a fine jig from the collected compositions of Tipperary accordion player Paddy O’Brien.
